Meaning 1, to be cancelled which is usually an event or arrangement. For example, I was meant to be going to see a band play in my local pub tonight but the singer has apparently got his tongue stuck to an ice lolly so the concert is off.
Meaning 2, to have gone bad which is normally food. I think the prawns I ate last night must have gone off as I spent the whole night sat on the toilet. I even moved my pillow and duvet in there at one point.
Meaning 3, to depart or leave. My brother and I were in the cinema last night watching a film when all of a sudden he stood up and said, ‘I'm off home, I've just remembered I left the bath taps running and that was over an hour ago’.
