Script (guión): ‘Drop out’, to leave a course before the end.
You go to university, for example, and you don't finish the course. Perhaps at the end of the first year you drop out and you are a drop-out. You can, of course, drop out of life as well. They talk about people who are not really taking part in life. They're drop-outs.
