Brays Video Collection – English Phrasal Verbs, Get round
Script (guión): Phrasal verbs, ‘get round’, which has two meanings.
Meaning one: to become known. After my friend was found naked and drunk in the pub car park by the police, he asked me to keep it to myself, as he doesn't want the news to get round the whole village. I have told one or two people though!
Meaning two: to find a solution. I'm currently trying to wire up my whole living room to one remote control, so I never have to get out of my chair. I do have a few small problems to get round though, as when I turn the television on the windows open and the lights flash on and off.
