So I said, ‘David.’

‘No.’
‘Michael.’
‘No.’
‘I give in’, I said. ‘What is it?’
‘Jesus,’ he said.
‘Ah, that's quite strange,’ I said.
‘Well, I'm Spanish, it's quite typical here.’
Meaning two: to submit homework. I saw my cousin carrying a crate of red bull last night. ‘Oh, are you having a party?’ I asked.
‘No, I have to give in an assignment and I haven't even started yet, so I'm going to do an all-nighter.’
