Script (guión): Phrasal verbs, ‘let out’ which means to allow a person or animal to leave, to be released.
When I was younger my auntie had a parrot, which was kept in a cage, a very small cage and I felt sorry for the parrot. So one day I took it out into the garden and opened the doors and said, ‘Go! You are free!’ and the parrot just sat on the bin and repeated everything I said. I said, ‘Leave, fly into the treetops,’ and the parrot would just say, ‘Fly into the treetops.’ It was nightmares so I put it back inside the cage and took it back inside the house.
