Bray's invite you to:

  • take a free book (in English or Spanish)
  • read and enjoy it
  • give it to someone else OR return it to one of our free book centres OR leave it somewhere, like a bench or a bar, for someone else to take
  • take another book

Reading is an excellent way of improving your vocabulary and language ability.

All the books are graded using the Common European Framework Reference (CEFR)

  • A1 - Elementary
  • A2 - Upper Elementary
  • B1 - Lower Intermediate
  • B2 - Upper Intermediate
  • C1 - Advanced
  • C2 - Proficiency

Select a level that you can comfortably read, with just a few words per page that you don't know. With structured books these are often explained at the end of the book.

If the book is difficult select a lower level. If the book is easy select a higher level. (Note - the books are not very useful for complete beginners)

Report on the book and/or track where the book has travelled to at www.bookcrossing.com (Use the bookcrossing ID on the inside cover of the book)

Places where you can pick up books. (This list will be added to as more sites take part in the scheme)
