USO: Los ILATIVOS son palabras o frases cortas que unen oraciones y muestran como las ideas expresadas en distintas partes de la oración se relacionan unas con otras. Los tipos más comunes de ilativos incluyen CAUSA y EFECTO, RAZON y RESULTADO, PROPOSITO, CONDICION, SECUENCIA y CONTRASTE.

FORMA: [ORACION PRINCIPAL + ILATIVO + ORACION SUBORDINADA.]

En la mayoría de los casos, la frase principal de la oración viene primero, seguida del ILATIVO que comienza la oración subordinada.

EJEMPLOS:

‘He is tired because he works very hard.’
‘He took his sunglasses in case it was sunny.’
‘She studied during the whole so that she would get a good grade in the exam.’
‘First, he brushed the floor, then he washed it with water and soap.’
‘He cleaned the house, although I offered to do it.’
