GRAMATICA INGLES infinitivo

USO: para referirse a una condicion o acción. El infinitivo es la forma en la que el verbo aparece en el diccionario, normalmente precedida por TO.

EJEMPLOS:

‘Dave! I'm so happy to see you!’
‘I don't have to work so I came here to party with you.’
‘The party is going to be great!’

AFTER ADJECTIVES

USO: Se usa para decir lo que una persona siente o piensa sobre una acción o evento. Por lo general, el adjetivo se refiere a reacciones o emociones, o a la facilidad o dificultad de la acción.

FORMA: [SUJETO + BE + ADJETIVO + TO + VERBO ...]

EJEMPLOS:

‘I was very surprised to see them together.’
‘We were delighted to see her at the club.’

NOTA: Algunas veces las mismas ideas pueden expresarse en una frase mas larga que contiene una CLAUSULA ADVERBIAL en la que los verbos de la clausula principal y de la clausula adverbial tienen el mismo SUJETO.

EJEMPLOS:

‘I was very surprised when I met them.’
‘We were delighted when we her at the club.’

AFTER VERBS

USO: Cuando dos verbos de la misma clausula tienen el mismo SUJETO, el segundo actua como el objeto del primero. Dependiendo del primer verbo, el segundo podría ir en forma de infinitivo.

FORMA: [SUJETO + VERBO 1 + (NOT) + INFINITIVO ...]

EJEMPLO: ‘Dave decided to study Maths.’

AFTER VERB + OBJECT

USO: Cuando hay dos verbos con diferentes SUJETOS en la misma clausula, el segundo es algunas veces un infinitivo.

FORMA: [SUJETO 1 + VERBO 1 + SUJETO 2 + INFINITIVO]

EJEMPLO: ‘I told him to do that work a month ago.’

INSTEAD OF NOUN CLAUSES

USO: Se usan en lugar de una clausula sustantiva que empieza con una de las conjunciones WHO, WHAT, WHICH, WHEN, WHERE, WHOSE, HOW, HOW MUCH, HOW MANY, O WHETHER.

FORMA: [CLAUSULA PRINCIPAL + CONJUNCION + INFINITIVO]

EJEMPLOS:
