Script (guión): Idioms, ‘cheap as chips’. We say something is as cheap as chips if it is inexpensive. For example, Bernie says to his mate, Lennie, ‘Hey Lennie, we just got a new flat screen TV, 24 inch, fifty quid, cheap as chips.’
‘That's nothing,’ said Lennie, ‘we just got a 32 inch for forty quid.’
‘I can't believe it,’ said Lennie, ‘and it works?’
‘Well there is a small crack in the middle of the screen, but you soon get use to it.’
