Script (guión): Idioms, ‘couch potato’. A couch potato is a very lazy person who spends most of their time sitting on the couch, or sofa, watching television and eating junk food. For example, my old flat mate was a complete couch potato. He would spend all day in the same position, so there were marks on the chair from where he was sitting every day in the same place. He would have a great big mountain of pizza boxes and take away cartons around his feet because he never got up out the seat. Consequently, he wasn't too healthy with a big belly, and no, he didn't have a girlfriend.
