Script (guión): Idioms, ‘down the drain’. If something goes down the drain, it is wasted. We usually say this when referring to money or work. We recently paid to go to Alton towers theme park, to go on the rollercoasters. We went as a family and it cost us eighty pound to get in but it rained all day so heavily that most of the rides were cancelled and the ones that were open had massive queues so that was a load of money down the drain.
