Script (guión): Idioms, ‘fur coat and no knickers’. Someone with status or wealth but with no real class to go with it we would say is fur coat with no knickers. There's a woman who lives in our street who has quite a lot of money so the neighbours do tend to gossip about her a lot, as she's always spending. Just recently she had three 32inch flat screen TVs delivered. She's got a pink BMW with ‘glamour’ written down the side and she's recently had her house converted to look like a Spanish villa, and we live in Sheffield. So whenever people talk about her they normally say, ‘Fur coat and no knickers.’
