Script (guión): Idioms, ‘put a sock in it’. If you tell someone to put a sock in it you're telling them to shut up, be quiet. I was in the cinema yesterday watching a new film called vivid colours which is a beautiful, peaceful film. At least, meant to be. But as soon as I got into the cinema, I noticed some bloke behind me eating a loud bag of crisps. I thought, ‘ok there's nothing wrong with eating, let it go.’ But half way into the film he started talking throughout all the key scenes, trying to predict the next line. I couldn't stand any more so I turned around and said, ‘oi! put a sock in it, will ya!’
